What is the most precious thing to you?

Even though there's plenty of time left, you might not be able to choose one from.

May, Syrian refugee in Iraq, had brought her bracelet.

But she told the bracelet is not the first, she had wanted to have her doll Nancy back, left on her bed on the night of evacuation.

Mimi Fowler, an English girl who live in Thailand, saw a story from UNHCR web site.

And she thought of Mimi, and she broken her piggy bank and bought a new doll not used one.

And the Doll was sent from Thailand.

Finally got to Mimi at the camp of Syrian refugee in Iraq.

Refugees from their ordinary life, they might not know how precious the thing and the people they love.

But now, they lose all of that at once, and miss it all.

Strange to say, we all can be refugee.

We have to keep peace in that thought.

And we all can be a peace advocate in our direct life.

Just like Mimi, only 5 years old girl, sent a doll of peace and love by breaking her piggy bank.

Man Hee Lee put white rose on the Palm of Peace.

Man Hee Lee put a white rose on the Palm of Peace, a symbol of peace in the Guatemala National Palace.
It is the first time for the Korean civilian after Ban Ki Moon, UN general secretary.
Ban Ki Moon made that event on 2011.
And the Government of Guatemala gave a letter of appreciation to Mr. Lee, peace advocate.

There were lots of sad stories in Korea.
But his peace movement and the achievement makes me proud of being Korean.

A letter of appreciation was presented to Man hee. Lee

20th, May, the letter of appreciation and medal were presented to Man hee, Lee from Ramon  poo gil, the mayor of Veracruz, Mexico.

At the place, there was numerous statesmen, spiritual leaders including religious leaders, and key personnels.
They gave a big hand to Man hee. Lee for granting appreciation letter.

Veracruz is supposed to be a doorway to Mexico.
Historically, when Mexico was attacked by Spain and U.S.A, armies were sailed into the Veracruz harbour.
So, It is noticeable for presenting appreciation letter from Veracruz for world peace.
Now I realize how desperate Mexico is for world peace, seeing that they give the letter of appreciation to not native person, Man hee. Lee.

On this day, Man hee. Lee said,"The genuine peace is not only the cesession of war, but also creating the world as calm and harmonious to live and have society without corruption.
Therefore, for the world peace, we have to keep living delivering the peace messages to all over the world like waves.
There have to be no pain nor sickness in the world, because all are overflowing with the peace and blessing."

I wish the world be just like Man hee. Lee said.

How can we make Inner peace?

I haven't been able to work at all the last couple of days.

The beginning was getting a fishbone stuck in my throat.

I treat that with folk remedy to swallow food. But that didn't work.

My throat is swollen.

I thought of this quote in this picture.

First keep the peace within yourself, then you can also bring peace to others, said by Thomas a Kempis.

I think peace is not related body situation. 

Because, peace advocate achieve regardless of their condition.

It is more mental power and belief than feeling that peace is good.

And the belief and willpower is from confidence having the material or matters to execute of accomplishing peace.

Actually, I came out this thought arised from thinking a peace advocate, Man Hee Lee.

He's in his mid 80's. And I saw articles that the schedule of his peace movement was so tight to carry out.

But he made the peace agreement in Mindanao.

Maybe there would be a chance to interview him, I want to ask what makes you so aggressively.

I want to be like him.

Mahatma, great soul, Gandhi.

Strikes, non-cooperation, mass civil disobedience, and spending lots of time in prison.

Perhaps these bring to mind a ganster's personal history to you.
It is Mahatma Gandhi's, called as Great Soul.
Then, What do you think of Gandhi's achievement?
The answer probably be the power of nonviolence.

His nonviolent action was not passive. As cited above, he led a social movement on a large scale.
And his strategy on nonviolent action to British scratched British's moral authority by letting British use violence to unarmed Indian.
For that reason, nonviolence actions must be measured, and the demonstrators are willing to die for their belief.
It is from the creed that a moral principle is the strongest power than any other things.

Gandhi said
"A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of human history."

Not long ago, a peace advocate Man hee Lee, made a peace agreement between Catholic and Islamic groups in Mindanao.
He asked a question to nature in human.
As a believer, will God like the situation of conflict with religion?
His speech pulled down basis of all the reason that they said which had to fight each other.
So, after that, they do not fight for their religious reason any more.
If they fight, it left a blemish in human history.
He ended that 40 years war by delivering a speech, nonviolent action.
But just remember, it's not easy speech in front of the conflictive crowd.

Nonviolence can change world to peace.

Earth Mother Wangari Maathai.

Wangari Maathai, she planted 7 seedlings in her front yard, and recommend other women to do that.
That is the start of the Green Belt Movement. The movement leads women in country to plant seedlings in their barren land.
The green brought changes in their landscape, people's mind and encouraged people do more peaceful things.

Moreover, She gathered women. There, women studied how to react to their husband being violent,
Ki-moon Ban said that "Her passing is a loss for the people of Kenya and the world. She was a globally recognized champion for human rights and women's empowerment. And she was a pioneer in articulating the links between human rights, poverty, environmental protection and security." in a statement on the UN website.

Wangari Maathai won the Nobel Peace Prize for the sustainable development, democracy and peace.
She showed us the simple and little thing can make a great change over the nation.

Though, she passed away, but her brave, continuous and practicable idea is still inspiring us.

Because it's not in war, I can enjoy the nature.

Seeing the cherry-blossom, a flood of thoughts coursed through my mind.
I really thank God,  I could enjoy the beautiful nature and think of people I love.
The memory will be enshrined in my heart.

And it, all are possible when it's not in war.
There's still a conflict in our world.

I thank the people who work for world peace. They are not take care of themselves. They have sacrificed for world peace. Like Man hee Lee did in Mindanao.

Never forget, Never again - Rwanda Genocide

Every 7th April, there is a Commemoration of Rwanda Genocide against Tutsi in Rwanda.
Including the President, people in violet walk to remember.
It's been 20 years from that incident.

Rwanda was ruled by Belgium.
Belgium execute a caste system, and alienate affection between Tutsi and Hutu.
It deepen misunderstanding between them.
After independance from Belgium, dictator, Habyarimana, made it worse for his political power.

How do you feel to live with whom killed your family in your town that you were born and grew up?
In that period of genocide, people all had been told to kill their teachers, students, neighbors, your acquaintances. All incidents were ended, they have lived the town, they were lived. Assailants and victims are living in a same town.
And survived people are forced to forgive their enemies.
What can they do more than that?

It would be difficult to forgive the enemy, killed loved ones.
And it's irrational. It's not their fault to be dead or something bad happened.
It was an political invention of domestic and foreign affairs.
I can't make up my mind how to bring peace to Rwanda.

Rwandan meditate on this incident to overcome the sad past and jump up for the new future.
I do wish they have a true peace in their mind.

Have you ever heard about "Comforting Women"?
It's not only in Korea, but many other countries in Asia.

If there's not in peace, there's no boundaries to protect you from the evil things.
In war, people are going crazy. So many troubles will be in the war including rape like this.
So, Peace is the best powerful strategy to human be like a decent human being.
Wanting peace is not a word of a weak person.

Therefore Don't say that "I'm not interest in Peace." or "It's on goverment's plate. It's no concern of mine."
But say, "I'll do everything from small beginnings.
Like Mindanao, Youth did a peace walk intended by Man hee Lee, a peace advocate. 
The movement made representatives from each religion, islam and catholic, sign the peace agreement.
Walking is not a big thing, you know.

The war and the Peace agreement on Mindanao.

As you see in this movie clip, the one who can take off the coat from the man was the sun.

The same was in Mindanao.
The one who can end the 40 years war was Man hee Lee.
He didn't use military force to bring peace to Mindanao, but he called leaders of Islam and Catholic and the youth of Mindanao.
And there, he emphasized the peace. The excitement doesn't end there, he took each leader's autograph on the peace agreement.
Military force is not the answer to world peace.
I hope Man hee lee go every troubled region, and bring peace to world.

Hand in hand, that is what Man hee lee did in Mindanao.

It’s easy to raise his voice for the importance of peace and to say to people hold hands

But not easy to act for the peace. And It’s difficult during times of war.

Mindanao, there’s war for the past 40 years. And the fight was between Catholic and Islam.

Is it easy to say to hold hands before the catholic and the Islam of Mindanao?

But Man hee Lee did it!
I wonder what Man hee Lee said to them.
So many famous people have tried to be a mediators between the Islam and the Catholic, but as you know there have been in war up to date.

But Man hee Lee club Catholic leader, Islam leader and youth together, emphasize the necessity of the peace. And they signed together on the peace agreement.

Man hee Lee, I didn’t know about him before, but after the Mindanao peace agreement, I count on his move. And I look forward to see this song to be real.
